Randall Museum in San Francisco

- Free
- Has a nice earthquake simulator for kids to play. they pile legos on a a lego base plate. press the button and the base plate will shake causing some legos to fall off
- Has a animal room with snakes, turtles, bee hives and other animals
- Has a nice outdoor area for picnic
- Nice toddler room with a "tree house", lots of toys and lots of children books
- Clean toilets

Shoreline Park in Mountain View

- Free
- Big and lots of green space for picnics
- Playground for tots
- Good view of sailing boats and paddle boats
- Toilets not v clean but tolerable
- Has kite flying area


Oak Meadow Park in Los Gatos

- Parking not free but can park elsewhere and walk
- V lovely and big playground
- Train and Carousel rides

Emma Prusch Park in San Jose

- Free
- New Playground
- Mini Zoo
- lots of open space for kids to run and adults to picnic
- nice garden with fruit trees

Leo Ryan Park in Foster City
- Free
- Lovely Lake
- Kite Flying
- Paddle boats

Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge

- Lovely marsh and stroller friendly trials
- Picnic tables in the open and in a hut

Fairyland in Oakland

- Parking not free
- Admission is pricey
- the place was a little worn down and my toddlers didnt enjoy the place.

Turtle Bay at Redding

- Parking free
- Sundial Bridge is lovely for kids to walk over from one part of the park to the other.
- Play area for kids (included in admission) has both indoor and outdoor play area
- Exhibits are interactive so kids get to enjoy lots of hands on participation
- Garden has a small but nice play area for kids to play on the drums there
- Clean restrooms
